Irrigatia launch new vertical garden range at the chelsea flower show
Irrigatia, the brains behind the only fully automatic solar powered watering system in Europe, is to officially launch its new range of innovative vertical gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Ideal for adding decoration to walls, fences and even garden sheds, the vertical gardens are designed to increase the amount of plants that can be grown in small areas.
Perfect for all gardens and even balconies the range includes the new Picture Garden Kit. It comes complete with a treated self-assembly wooden frame which can be painted to match and compliment any garden landscape. Each unit has four rails and can take up to 16 pots (included) which are easily removable for planting herbs, flowers, vegetables and salads, or maintenance purposes.
It is designed to be used with drip irrigation systems and linked to adjacent taps. However, when combined with an automatic solar powered Irrigatia system, a water butt can be used and the plants will be watered every three hours and for longer when sunny.
Ideal for growing fruit and vegetables as well as decorative plants, the new space saving Vertical Fruit & Veg Garden comes with a complete irrigation kit which can be connected to your hosepipe, or it can be used with an Irrigatia solar watering kit.
With four small pots, two medium and two large pots – this kit is easy to mount, access and maintain. Other features include four 600mm support rails that can be screwed directly on to a wall, fence or shed at whatever height you require.
The drainage trough is hung on the bottom rail to collect any excess water which can be easily recycled.
Also new in the vertical garden range is the Vertical Herb & Flower Garden which includes 12 small pots, four 600mm support rails and drippers.
Perfect for growing a variety of herbs and flowers, this kit’s drainage trough is also hung on the bottom rail to collect any excess water and can be used with an Irrigatia solar watering system.
“When combined with an Irrigatia solar powered watering kit the main issue that used to be associated with vertical growing – that it needs regular watering or the plants dry out very quickly - is overcome. Irrigatia systems can water up to 5m in height and drippers are attached to the top row of pots, which then filters down through the drainage holes into the pots below. Any excess water is then collected in the drainage trough and collected for easy recycling.”
